Speak to Your Mountains.

Have you ever had to go through something extremely tough on your own? Have you had to fight cancer, or go through divorce, or maybe it's everyday life, you feel alone (even though you might be surrounded with friends). Some of you today maybe facing a storm in your life. I know there are a lot of pressures in this world we're living in. But I would like to reveal a few things to help you get THROUGH that storm (notice I didn't say "out" but "through").

Mark 11:23-24 says, 23"I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. 24Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you .have received it, and it will be yours."

Now, does this mean Jesus is a supernatural Santa Claus and He'll give us whatever we ask? NO! But He gives us the authority to speak to the difficulties before us and to trust Him. Have you ever read the book of Job? Never did Job curse God, but Job waited on the Lord to bring him out. I believe that's a word for some one right there. But my question for you today is what are you saying in the midst of your storm. Proverbs 18:21 says, "21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." So what you say during your storm, in your storm, will effect how you live through the storm. Whether it is positive or negative the attitude you have about your storm will effect how quickly you get through it. It's been said, "Don't talk about the problem, talk about the solution." We need to trust God and speak to that mountain.

Remember the story of David and Goliath? Did David wait for the giant to kill him? No! The little Shepard boy attacked the seasoned warrior saying, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied." We must speak to our mountains! I will leave you with this, we should pray to the Lord expecting Him to move our mountains. What do your prayers sound like? May God bless you today.
